Back from a great vacation and filming Amy and Mike’s wedding in Mexico!!! It was a beautiful wedding, on the beach at Dreams Resort in Tulum. Very laid back and I got some great footage of them on the beach at sunset.

The rest of my trip involved a lot of relaxing by the pool and beach of our awesome resort the Occidental Grand Flamenco in Xcaret. My girlfriend Abbie and I also went on a few excursions involving swimming in underground rivers, flying down zip lines, snorkelling, visiting Mayan Ruins, and shopping for Souveniers in Playa del Carmen. Honestly though, mostly relaxing by the beach and pool. Just beautiful. Here are some fun pics from the trip.

Rachel and Daniel were married at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, NJ, and we were there to capture it. Rachel is actually Dave’s sister (my good friend and videographer for Creative Unlimited). You’ll see him running around on the video. A very sweet and emotional day. I love this family like my own, and it was definitely an honor to be a part of the day. At a time of year when it was just rainy rainy rainy Rachel and Daniel found some sunshine. A truly fun and special day. Congrats again guys.

Gina and Michael got married today, November 14th, at St. Mary’s Church in Pompton Lakes NJ, with a reception following at the Madison Hotel in Morristown. I started with Ginal and girls getting ready, everyone was just beautiful. Mike and the guys were hilarious. He had us all laughing when he flubbed the vows during the ceremony, and it made it into their Same Day Highlights. Only on video, haha. We showed it just as dinner was ending to a great crowd. Everyone loved it, and Gina and Michael were just absolutely thrilled.
One of my favorite compliments came from the DJ’s who shook my hand and said they’ve seen a lot of Same Day Highlights, and they thought ours was one of the best, truly amazing, top notch. That means a lot, since they probably do see a lot of these. Awesome wedding. Congrats guys. Have a wonderful time on the honeymoon.

Fiona and Pete were married at St. Joseph’s church in Newton, NJ, and their reception was at the Knoll Country Club in Boonton, NJ. We started at Fiona’s house to capture her family and the girls getting ready. She had family in from Ireland, and they were definitely a fun bunch.
Then it was off the the church to capture Pete and the guys. We got a lot of great stuff there, and of course the ceremony, but before and after as well. It was a rainy kind of day, off and on, so we weren’t able to take full advantage of the Knoll Country Club grounds, but you’ll find some beautiful shots of the place in the video. Regardless of the rain, it was a beautiful day, and everyone had a wonderful time, and it shows
Soon as I can figure out how to upload the message she left I will, but here’s what she said on her voicemail:
“I wanted to call you right away because I just the watched the video and Absolutely love it, seriously I have tears in my eyes sitting here on the couch by myself. It seriously is amazing and I wanted to thank you so much for all the work that you put into it”. Thanks guys. I’m glad you enjoyed it, and that also Pete enjoyed it when he got to watch it with you, haha. Congrats again.

Here is a great gallery of images from Danielle and Frank’s wedding at Addison Park in Aberdeen NJ. Danielle is my cousin, and so while I filmed a good portion of the wedding, I left it in the hands of my guys to capture everything. James and Dennis were photographing and Dave and Rob were filming, and I was enjoying myself with my girlfriend Abbie (for once I got to be a guest, sort of, haha). Family are the toughest clients. If you mess anything up, you’ll never hear the end of it, so you better believe we have to be on our game.

Here’s a shot of the crew (taken by Rob, so he’s unfortunately not in it):

Jasmine and Jonathan came in to meet with me several months ago about their wedding. They knew right away they wanted Creative Unlimited to capture their day, but money was tight and so they started off by booking us for 2 camera raw coverage to at least have amazing raw footage. If you’re on a budget, it’s the way to go, to ensure you still get a great video.
At the meeting Jonathan joked about getting a second job so he could upgrade to an edited package. A few weeks later he surprised me with a message to say that’s exactly what he did, he got a second job as a teacher’s assistant, and they wanted to upgrade their package. He was actually very happy about it, with the extra money from the second job, he was able to take care of all of the wedding bills, and even paid us in full early. I was like “Are you sure, you really don’t have to, the final balance isn’t due until 2 months after”, but Jonathan and Jasmine wanted no bills to pay after the wedding.
We get a lot of calls from people “on a budget” lately. Of course, everyone’s still having a dream wedding, but when it comes to video they’re “on a budget”. Jasmine and Jonathan said, we’re on a budget, but we’re going to do what we can to fit you into our budget. As much as any client we book with no complaints about the cost, these two were just a wonderful reminder that if you think it’s worth it, you’ll make it work. That goes for anything in life. I feel truly blessed to have such great clients, and I mean all my clients, but I definitely appreciate Jasmine and Jonathan working hard to have us be a part of their day.

Me, Jasmine, Jonathan and Dave
The wedding was this past Saturday, November 7th. Dave started a little earlier then me with Jonathan and the guys in Newark NJ. I started with Jasmine and the girls in Woodhaven, NY. Queens baby (I grew up in Flushing). It was a flurry of hair and makeup. I got some great outtakes of “teased” hair, haha. Wow it gets big. Jonathan stopped by to drop off rings (without seeing his bride), and told me they had a lot of fun with Dave at the house, and he got some crazy shots. Can’t wait to see that footage.
The Ceremony was at the Jesus Revival Church, also in Woodhaven. I overheard the pastor telling Jonathan about how that moment was like the world series, final game, top of the ninth, bases loaded, and Jonathan could win the series with his hit. Haha, of course a baseball analogy this time of year. The ceremony was very sweet, and provided a few laughs as Jonathan shouted “YES I DOOOO!!!” when asked, haha. Jasmine replied the same, they had everyone laughing. The couple also sang a beautiful song too, with some great harmonies. Really well done actually, they’re very musical.
We stopped at the J train station after the ceremony for some really cool shots by the turnstyles and on the platform, and then we went to a nearby park. Jonathan shared about how they walked all over the city when the were dating, just walking and talking, which prompted a walking and talking shot, haha. The reception was at Il Palazzo by Villa Russo in South Richmond Hill, NY. It provided us with some unique opportunities because of a wrap around balcony for their room, which Dave used to capture some great shots of their entrances, and first dance. He ran up there for the ChaCha slide too, haha. Nothing like aerial shots of line dancing.
Instead of the garter (although she did toss the boquet), the couple played a newlywed game with their shoes. They each held one of their own, and one of the other’s, and the DJ asked a few questions like “Who’s the better driver?, Who made the first move?, Who hogs the sheets?” and they would hold up her shoe or his, or sometimes both. It was cute, my first time seeing that game.
This couple was just a joy to be around. They are very happy together and were very happy to have us at the wedding. It was just a beautiful day. I really go out of my way to make every couple feel special, and somehow my clients always make me feel special too. Thanks guys, and congratulations.

Josette and Anthony were married today, October 17th, 2009, at St. Thomas Church in Staten Island. The reception was at Addison Park, in Aberdeen NJ, and it was an amazing time. We edited and shared their Same Day Highlights at the reception before dinner was over. We got such a wonderful reaction from the crowd, and from Josette and Anthony. Congrats Guys, and thanks for allowing us to be a part of your day.
